Aching for A Vacation

I’ve been watching a bit of the Travel Channel.  The islands are calling me now.  So naturally, being the proactive gal I am, I decided to start putting a little resort wardrobe together.  Here’s what I got so far.

I found that hat at Forever 21. I find fedoras to be universally flattering.  Plus the straw variety lends itself well to the islands.  And I’m in love with the ethnic pattern.

The floral top is something I have been eyeing for awhile now.  I just wasn’t sure how to pull off this much floral and this much crop in one look.

And that is where the linen shorts make their entrance.  The high waist balances the skimpiness of the shirt.  And linen, are you kidding!  Perfect for warm weather.

I have a thing for sunglasses.  And for $6 dollars these babies are not to be passed up.  One of my favorite colors, nude.  Plus after flipping through magazines it seems the retro frame is making its way back.

Okay, I also have a thing for shoes.  But who doesn’t?  I adore these white cut-out wedges. They deserve to be taken to Nassau.

Lastly, I think every girl needs an itsy bitsy white polka dot bikini. The vintage cut throwback is adorable.

So for now, this is as close as I get to an Island resort.  Grab an umbrella-adorned drink and enjoy!

Tis Serendipity… Thanks a ton! I surprised myself with that floral top, until now I don’t think I’ve fallen in love with any sort of florals. This particular outfit was a therapy of sort, I can’t be on an island yet, so instead I plan for it!

Wow I really do love all these outfit sets you put together. This one is especially perfect. I’m in love with that floral top!! And it goes so well with the hat, the wedges, the shorts… Sigh. Totally wishing for time off at a beach somewhere on a small island…
