It’s a little sad how shut off from everything we can be. Because in all actuality, there is inspiration to be drawn from damn near everything. I suppose our eyes are just shut half the time. I’m trying to stay aware of this and be more turned on to my surroundings. With time I will be better. Speaking of time passing and things progressing (that’s what I was speaking about, right?) I’ve been ‘researching’ other successful bloggers and trying to find the secret. Well let me speak of Rumi, since she is one of the most successful. I mean if she’s recognizable by her first name only… well you know what I’m getting at. I went three years back on her site, to the very beginning. Watching her transformation and style evolution was extraordinary. She really is just like the rest of us, she just persevered and kept at it. She made something of herself. That experience has reenergized me. The secret, oh yes! Look for it in an upcoming post. And now some images that I find inspirational, so should you…

great post. To be successful it is important to keep on trying. After all, Rome wasn’t built in one day.

We really are shut off from a lot of things. It’s not just from finding inspiration, but from other things as well. But we are human-beings. We have a lot of flaws, but it is good to know there is beauty everywhere. Earth is already heaven.

Fantastic inspiration photos. Adore the winged eyeliner from the model in the first pic! Rumi has a fantastic blog, I’ve definitely noticed similarities with all the bigger bloggers and good for them! They’ve managed to turn something they love into a business. Not many people can say that.
i love rumi’s blog. who would’ve known that bloggers would one day become household names? (well… in my house anyway!)
Oh, lovely!
love the girls eye makeup in that first photo!
I think you definitely answered your question…success and persevering probably are almost synonymous. I hope you continue to find the inspiration you’re looking for!
Love those pictures, the first girl is beautiful !

I’ve asked myself the same questions before on how all these bloggers are so successful. I sometimes wonder what their secret is too. I honestly believe if you are dedicated and passionate about what you do, then it will be a hit. It’s all about consistency.
p.s. your photos are amazing, and look forward to the next post.

And interesting about Rumi!
That picture of Freja is specially beautiful!
I did the same with Rumi’s blog for a class I had to give at school, and totally agree, the change is awesome, but completely natural and progressive.

Just read your article – good stuff, you can tell you’re writing from the heart. And your hair looks amazing! I’d cut mine short but have done so before and it was a failure, my hair’s just too fine to look decent cropped… or actually in any style, grrr. Will have to look back at Rumi’s blog, would be interesting to see her 3 years ago!
I admit that sometimes I miss out on so much inpsiration because I’m not fully taking in everything around me. Such inspiring images there though
Beautiful photo!!!

Um hi can I please have the lips of that lovely lady in the first photo?! Anywayssss, I absolutely agree with you about inspiration. I think the drag of daily life (work, bills, etc.) draws us away from that fact too often. It’s good to be reminded
