So torn denim is back in a big way. But I’m not convinced this is the proper way to wear it.

Nope, don’t think that one was quite right either. Brandi don’t look so happy with yourself, you haven’t done much since Moesha and I can’t even remember the name of that other show you were in. So the only way I can possibly respond when people ask me ‘so what’s Brandi been up to now-a-days’ is: ‘cutting the front upper quadrant of her jeans out.’ What a horrible claim to fame.

More Exposed Bits

I did a post a few months back about a trend that seemed to be on the rise. A most unfortunate trend that should have been smothered before its conception. The exposed g-string. I’m not sure why exposing your bra can be considered risque and bold, while an exposed panty strap deems you tacky and trailer trash. But it does. So the simple reasoning ‘because i said so. . .’ doesn’t quite fly with you? Photographic evidence of why this trend did not/does not/will not ever work.

Anytime you need your clothing to remind people that you are indeed sexy, you become the complete opposite. Well if the opposite is desperate and sad. Also, its time to retire this look when you are getting tan marks from your exposed g-string.

Okay the girl is obviously kind’ve cute and charming, and I’m pretty sure she is famous for something. But I just end up feeling bad for her because you know she’s thinking ‘oh finally someone recognizes me! Smile pretty for the camera!’ Wrong. Ladies do the sit test before you leave the home.

And after all of that, some company still thought it’d be a brilliant idea to make those.

That little rant has got my brain ticking. In my short twenty four years on this planet I have been an eye witness to a lot of foul denim mishaps. Probably enough to center an entire blog around. But I could never expose you all to that much horror. Despite the obvious fact that I’m sure many just wouldn’t stick around and subject themselves to that torture, I also like creating some aesthetically appealing posts! There is a point behind all this rambling. I’m going to scour the web and find the grimiest, stankiest denim dont’s and share them with you in a weekly series. It’ll be like Halloween four times a month. Enjoy!

I’m all for reworking clothes to suit different purposes. Skirts into dresses. Men’s jeans into shorts. You get the idea I’m sure.

But you know we are in a recession when you see this:

Japan: What Were You Thinking?

Has anyone else heard that Japan is supposed to be a pretty stylish place? I am fairly certain that they are a big hub for fashion designers. So I’d expect some good stuff coming from there. Well all hope is shattered. Behold:

What in the world were they thinking? Now, I am perfectly aware that a few years back it was a little trend amongst some teeny boppers to pull their underthing straps out of their jeans. But I don’t remember this fad going much further than that. Yet somehow Japan has translated that as, jeans with built-in exposed thongs will be a smash! Or maybe it was this woman’s fault:
