Now I did promise that there would be some fashion, so here goes!  Browsing through the Spring Runway shows, left me a tad underwhelmed.  A few things did stick out though, including the smart spring suits.  I love how relaxed sophisticated can look.

ADAM, Givenchy, Boy by Band of Outsiders, Marni

Miu Miu took that Wang braid and glammed it up.  And also do notice the lower lashes in the last [...]]]> Who would’ve thought those awful teeth headbands from her childhood would ever make a resurgence on the runway.  YSL did it though, and I am wondering how many other beauty store fails can actually be made fabulous.

Old news, but I’m still enamored with this whole concept.  Growing up, Legos were my favorite toy.  I didn’t realize until this photo that they could be a part of my adult life.

Givenchy’s unnaturally high wedges.  They seem so organic in the sense that they become one with the foot, not much unlike an animal hoof.  They should become one with my foot.

Todd Lynn.  The mule is back with newly added features.

Calvin Klein thank you sir for this blatant nineties tribute and return to minimalism.  I’ve missed [...]]]> Really Good…

Chanel.  Not like anything that caught my eye from the Spring Runway shows, but this shoe is special.  A real throwback to the close of that famous free-spirited decade and the early 70′s.  A time where the revolutionaries felt like anything was possible.  All of this idealism, and I’m really just pining over a pair of Chanels with a wooden platform and chunky wood heel.  A little embarrassing.

I think this is a look that could be worn [...]]]> I don’t talk about runway that often.  So you know when I do it must be something special.  At least special according to me.  And Missoni’s Fall show was very special.  I adored the piled on knits.  Its all very creature comfort in an ethereal color palette.

I think this is a look that could be worn through the winter.  Here’s my own little translation, which I’ve grounded with dark and oh-so-on-point-thigh-high boots.

Ashish Sequin Dress.Faux Fur Chubby Coat.Missoni Mohair Cardigan.Britany Thigh High Boots.Cobweb Knit Snood.Missoni Snood.Multi-Chain Necklace.

Personally, I’m digging this look.  It’s bold, it’s controversial. . . and when has that pairing ever been wrong?  Real life translation. . .

Satin Bra,Lattice Jeans,Platform Boot,Faux Fur,Clutch,Gloves,Ring,Spike Necklace.

And now how not to wear [...]]]> Under things are no longer necessarily under anything.  Exposed bralettes and form-enhancing corsets have been spotted all over the runways as of late.
