What is a Squarectomy?
A Squarectomy is the removal of one’s anti-hip bone.
No really, I don’t get it…
Oh then allow me to elaborate! Squarectomy is a personal fashion and art blog, written ever-so-personally by Grace (see about if you are thus far intrigued). There is so much in this world to be inspired by, and this site is an attempt to gather smatterings of the various things I gravitate towards—with an obvious focus in the fickle realm of fashion. But mostly it’s an excuse to play dress up and take lots of pictures.
Don’t you think the fashion world is a tad self-important and narcissistic?
That really depends on what you consider a normal level of egocentrism, seeing as every industry is slightly self-important. I personally look at fashion as wearable art. Just like a painter’s conduit for self-expression is a brush and canvas, or a musician’s outlet is the notes and words they piece together, clothes are another instrument for expression.
[While we are on the subject of narcissism...] What’s your favorite post so far?
It’s a tie. For sentimental reasons, one of my favorites is the first look of the week post I did featuring stylorectic. The most rewarding thing about blogging is the community of great (and like-minded) people you meet. Starting this feature was very special for me, because I felt like I could give back to all these wonderful people my own small way.
The other post that stands out is my queen bee post. Life can get a bit overwhelming at times, and I must admit sometimes coming up with a post can feel a tad automatic (I’m ashamed of my honesty right now), but I remember being so thrilled to write this one and even more overjoyed to share it with my readers.
Can I post your images on my site?

Is Squarectomy looking for sponsors?
First off, allow me to just say that I love running this site. I have been at this for nearly three years now, and will continue to put in the maximum amount of energy and time that my schedule allows. Unfortunately though, like most people, I’m plagued with financial responsibilities. Which does mean I have to seek outside sources of income—in other words, time spent away from Squarectomy.
In answer to the question, yes Squarectomy does accept sponsors—anything to allow myself to spend more energy here! Of course, I do wish to maintain the integrity of Squarectomy, so I look for sponsors that fit my style and aesthetic. Please email grace@squarectomy.com if you are interested.
