My Fall list of needs may be evidence to my extreme lack of taste and a cohesive style. I’m a hodgepodge, bohemian mess… with a limited color palette. And I’d still like you to buy me every one of these things: an ironic-cause-i-live-in-southern-california-and-don’t-even-know-a-lumberjack-faux-fur-trapper, a sweater so large and cozy I could just live in it, the stringiest faux-fur gilet, harem peg-trousers, penny loafers (back to the 90′s… again?), a print blanket cardigan, the perfect high-waisted leather shorts, and a weekender Pendleton bag.

My Lovely Guest: Sarah from Pandora’s Box

Sarah and I have been planning a little something special. And here is her half of the project. And what a half it is! Maybe I should talk about the project, yes? Sarah and I both are in love with all the faux fur that’s happening. It has been interpreted in a multitude of ways, and her and I thought it’d be interesting to compare and contrast our own fur looks. Maybe I should just let Sarah do the talking already:

What I like best about fur, faux or real, is it lends a new attitude to whatever you’re wearing. Jeans and a t-shirt look instantly cooler, a little black dress becomes the little black dress. These photos were snapped on Halloween, so the desire to dress as a character overtook me… I think I ended up channeling some sort of Penny Lane creature who’d just woken up from the previous night’s party. (But with much neater hair.) As for what I said about fur bestowing attitude, if you pick the right coat it will lend its attitude to you, not just your clothing.

She’s so cool.

No, seriously she is. Daniella of The F Blog never looks contrived. She seems like the sort of girl that could be out the door with a moment’s notice looking fabulous and with no incessant need to run off to check herself in a mirror. Well that’s just my opinion. Enough with what I have to say though, here’s what we all came for.

Feeling a bit excessive at the moment, let me try to channel this into an outfit.
