I am well aware that my consistency is something deplorable. This whole week has been a whirlwind of, ugh I won’t rehash it here. My only wish is that my appetite returns and fast! Three weeks of my-incredible-shrinking-stomach is not in any way cool or hip or sexy. The positive of all this is that my downtime has allowed me to devote myself to getting some writing done. Actually, I guess it is a tad problematic to be as miserable as I make myself sound when I’m wearing a disco ball shirt. Sequins everyday from now on?

Black is generally the go-to color for special event dressing, and for good reason. So I wanted to challenge myself and try creating a look that did not center around this shade. The result, a hell of a lot of a bling paired with jewel tones (fitting, yes?).

Christmas in Leather

One great thing about the holidays, they are an excellent excuse to get extremely dolled up. Although, getting dolled up for me doesn’t exactly mean petticoats, rollers, and ribbons. More like leather, jewels, sequins, and super luxe knits.

Santa Baby

I don’t know who was planning on sending me Christmas gifts but I took the liberty of making things simple by picking out a few little snazzy goodies I wouldn’t mind having.

I’m sure a chunk of Topshop’s inventory made it on most of your Christmas’ lists. Uncharacteristically, I’ve only added one item of clothing to my list (shoes are a whole separate entity). Who doesn’t need a sequined blazer for the New Year?

Has anyone seen Mizz Gaga wearing these Thakoon’s yet?

I might just be a sucker for nude shoes, but these basket-turned-shoe by Miu Miu are pretty darned sexy.

Fred Flare has some of the most adorable, irrelevant gifts. I fell in love immediately with these hanging lamps.Anyone who’s been reading my blog as of late will know that this book was made for me.

I bet you want it now also.

101 Times Over

I just realized my last post was my 100th! It made me get a little weepy and nostalgic so I started cycling through old posts. I’ve compiled ten of my favorites to let you all re-live the magic with me. Also! I feel like my blog has finally hit its stride. A few posts back I got my first ‘negative anonymous’ comment! Yay, I’m somebody in the fashion blogosphere.

Style Icon: Nico This was supposed to be an on-going case study of different icons. After looking through Bardot, Bow and Nico’s I came to the conclusion that maybe its time to work on some more inspiration collages!

Fashion Rewind Maybe its not my most well-put together post, but I have a lot emotional attachment to this one. This was one of the first fashion editorials I can remember making a big impact on me. (I was late getting into this scene I guess…)

Do Your Ears Hang Low? I still remember how excited I was over those shorts. Every one of those outfits made me giddy, still do. Sigh… why didn’t I order them before they went extinct?

All That Glitters Yes, another outfit collage. How I wish I could dress every day.

Don’t Be Caught With Your Drawers Down I adore the style of all the ladies I have featured, but I chose this particular one because it got the whole series started.

Not For Sale Anymore This particular post didn’t receive the positive approval of some others I have done. But I love it none-the-less. Mostly because it really is my ultimate fantasy to be on a stage performing.

Lucy in the Sky with Rhinestones If I ever was bold enough to go for a styling position, I’d use this in my portfolio.

Short Shorts Not necessarily the most ground breaking outfit I have created, but I adore it because this is about as close to my everyday wear as it gets.

Sequined Hot Shorts Still think it’d make the best vacation outfit.

Heart 90′s 3 of 3, Heart 90′s 2 of 3 Okay, so I figure its okay to combine these as number ten on my list. After all, they are a part of a series. The 90’s is my favorite decade, not only for fashion, but especially for music. (The 70’s only run a fraction of a point behind.) So again, with the emotional attachment.
